The following is an excerpt from the story 'The Alchemist'. It is a story based on the notorious Frenchman Gilles De Rais.
'Such a terrible thought. That a man could forsake his own soul and shed blood in the name of the enemy. Innocent blood. All for the purpose of greed. Gilles de Baron, an aristocrat and nobleman, did in fact just that. Many children were slain by him and offered to a demon by the name of E'ferries, who was no less than the Devil himself.
But the question that remains is not how a well to do noble from the highest society in all of France could do such a thing. But why.....'
